The Commercial team drives our strategic partnerships with the world's leading brands and boutiques to source the best selection and optimise sales channels for our partners. Their work offers our customers access to incredible products and the most extensive selection of luxury for endless style.
NEW YORK
Our New York office is located in Midtown near the iconic Bryant Park and the historic Grand Central Terminal, New York's best-connected office neighbourhood. The beautifully designed office has 360 views and tall windows to bring the outside in. The office is open with plenty of rooms and booths to take a private call, have time to relax, work in private, or have a large collaborative meeting.
THE ROLE
As a Business Development Manager, North America, you will be the driving force behind expanding Farfetch’s supply footprint across the US and Canada. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will sign brands and multi-brand boutique partners craft the regional strategy that defines the future of luxury retail in North America. You will be planning and implementing new business strategies into a tactical and operational plan of action. You will represent Farfetch externally, be potential supply partners ambassador internally and be recognised as an expert outside the company.
You will leverage a deep network of luxury boutiques and brands to articulate the Farfetch value proposition, moving beyond simple sales to build long-term, tech-enabled partnerships. You will be the primary point of contact for potential new supply partners and work cross functionally to project manage the successful onboarding on new business. The success of Farfetch.com is guided by the relationships with our supply partners and this team member will have a pivotal role in the success of the business.
We’re looking for an analytical, commercially minded, strategic thinker, who is confident in managing complicated cross-functional projects and influencing change across senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the end-to-end sales pipeline for premium brands and multi-brand boutiques in North America, ensuring a healthy mix of new Supply Partnerships that aligns with Farfetch’s category goals.
- Lead contract negotiations, balancing commercial profitability for Farfetch with a sustainable growth model for our partners.
- Educate potential partners on the Farfetch ecosystem, including our marketplace model, commercial terms, logistics solutions, and data-driven insights.
- Act as the Internal CEO for new partners, working cross-functionally with Farfetch Legal, Finance, Integrations, and Onboarding teams to ensure a seamless "Go-Live" process.
- Act as the eyes and ears of Farfetch in North America. Monitor competitor movements, regional e-commerce trends, and macro-economic shifts to pivot strategy in real-time.
- You will use established relationships and build new connections to provide support in the building and growth of Farfetch marketplace concept in the luxury ecommerce industry.
- Travel, when needed, to pitch Farfetch marketplace to relevant industry businesses. Travel within continental US + Canada.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelor’s degree with a strong quantitative component.
- You have 4-6 years commercial experience with an emphasis on business to business relations, business development or sales.
- Experience in fashion or luxury industry preferred, however if you have not then a strong interest is needed to be demonstrated.
- You have strong relationships in luxury, ecommerce, retail or fashion industries is preferred.
- You have excellent planning and organisational skills; expertise to manage and improve complex projects
- You have exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
- You are commercially minded - strong focus on business growth with ability to work towards metrics and targets
- You have the ability to influence senior characters internally and externally - Strong stakeholder management
- You are able to travel frequently across the US and Canada and have a valid drivers license.

NYC WAGE TRANSPARENCY
- The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $1OO,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
