About the Role

GlossGenius has been empowering independent entrepreneurs in the beauty, health and wellness space to follow their dreams and successfully grow their businesses. As an AI-first company, we're redefining what's possible for small to large business owners by solving complex problems through innovative technology that puts intelligence at the center of everything we build.

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Director of Product Management to lead our Core product pillars, including our booking management, payment, team management and business scalability teams. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing the strategic vision and overseeing the development of innovative solutions that solve real customer problems and help them achieve their business goals as a result. You'll think creatively about how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to build intelligent systems that scale effortlessly, transforming foundational experiences into competitive advantages.

You'll work closely with the Product, Design, and Engineering leadership teams to bring our product vision to life, and you will manage and coach a team of Product Managers while also being responsible for delivering high-impact features.

We default to being in-office in Union Square 3-4 days per week with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What You'll Do

  • Define the overall product vision, strategy and roadmaps for our core products including our booking, payments, team management, and business scalability systems
  • Think strategically about how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to build smarter, more intuitive core experiences that reduce friction and unlock new possibilities for our users
  • Champion user needs and use both qualitative and quantitative data to make quick, high-quality product decisions
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, creative problem-solving, and continuous learning; provide coaching and mentorship to support their professional growth
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and make thoughtful business decisions to optimize product performance
  • Lead cross-functional product initiatives with other areas of the business including Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience to ensure alignment on product priorities and successful product launches
  • Pioneer new initiatives that will help improve operational efficiency and move the needle on key business metrics
  • Champion new ways of working, leveraging AI to optimize the product development lifecycle so that we can get more value to customers faster.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in product-related roles; at least 4 years of people management experience with proven experience building, developing, and scaling high-performing teams; fosters a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and excellence
  • Strong ownership mindset – takes full accountability for outcomes, drives strategy forward, and creates a culture where the team proactively solves problems before they become blockers
  • Strategic problem solver who thinks beyond conventional solutions, encourages the team to explore innovative approaches to complex challenges.
  • Curious and AI-forward – actively explores how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to transform core product experiences; stays informed on industry trends and champions experimentation with new tools
  • Impact-oriented with executional rigor – focuses the team on delivering meaningful business outcomes tied to core revenue and strategic company metrics while maintaining high quality standards throughout the product development process
  • Strong analytical and business acumen – combines deep quantitative and qualitative analysis with strategic thinking to drive business decisions that move the needle on company priorities
  • Technical fluency with the ability to comfortably discuss technical concepts and trade-offs with engineering counterparts
  • Executive presence and influence – partners closely and builds trust with executive leadership; aligns cross-functional stakeholders and teams around a shared vision through clear, compelling communication
