Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and data-driven Digital Merchandising Specialist to join our eCommerce team for the next 6 months.
This role is responsible for owning the product onboarding process—ensuring new products are set up, optimized, and merchandised effectively across digital channels. In addition, this specialist will play a key role in supporting campaign and category strategy execution, helping to build and create a seamless digital experience. optimize performance, and drive conversion
What you'll do
Product Onboarding & Site Management
- Own the end-to-end product onboarding process, ensuring accurate product setup across eCommerce platforms (naming conventions, categorization, descriptions, imagery, tagging, SEO, and metadata).
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Creative, Operations) to align on launch timelines and ensure flawless execution.
- Continuously audit the site to ensure product information, categorization, and navigation remain accurate, optimized, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot product onboarding issues, proactively identifying root causes, escalating to the appropriate teams when needed, and taking initiative to drive solutions with a sense of ownership and empowerment.
Merchandising Category & Campaign Support
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns and promotions, ensuring products are positioned and prioritized effectively on site
- Support the creation and maintenance of site components and content by publishing accurately and efficiently within content management systems (CMS), ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience.
- Partner with senior manager to support with site merchandising strategies, optimize product placement, to drive category optimization performance.
- Execute cross-sells, upsells, and product bundling strategies to increase AOV and conversion.
Data, Insights & Optimization
- Regularly benchmark competitors to ensure best-in-class merchandising practices and site experiences.
- Monitor product and category performance, using analytics and site metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Recommend adjustments to product placement, content, and assortment based on performance insights.
What you'll bring to the team
- 2–4 years of experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, or related field.
- Strong understanding of site merchandising, product taxonomy, and campaign execution.
- Experience working with Product Information Management (PIM) systems and managing large sets of product data, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience working with the Shopify eCommerce platform, product information management systems, and content management systems (e.g. Sanity)
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using analytics platforms a bonus (e.g., Mixpanel, Looker, Hotjar)
- Collaborative, with excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
