About this role

pov beauty is seeking a highly detail-oriented and creatively driven Packaging + Retail

Production Designer to join our growing team. This role is crucial to bridging the gap between

innovative package design, retail environment design, and flawless execution. You'll work

closely with our creative, product development, retail, and operations teams to bring packaging

and retail concepts to life — from primary packaging to gondola, endcap, and window displays

— across our expanding product line and brand.

Responsibilities:

● Execute and refine final mechanical files for primary and secondary packaging and retail

fixtures (gondola, FOS, endcap, window, and shelf-talker/signage), ensuring all designs

are press ready and meet both packaging and retail partner specifications

● Translate concept designs into technically accurate production artwork for both

packaging and in-store retail environments, owning the full production journey from initial

specs to final output

● Collaborate with vendors, packaging engineers, retail partners (e.g. Sephora and other

retail accounts), and production partners to manage dielines, materials, color matching,

print proofs, and quality control across packaging and retail POP/POS materials

● Harmonize packaging and retail design with pov's visual brand identity and product

positioning, ensuring consistency across all SKUs, retail doors, and shelf placements

● Evaluate and recommend packaging and retail display materials, finishes, and structures

that support innovation, function, and sustainability

● Manage shade/range indicator systems and other retail-specific production requirements

unique to color cosmetics and skincare merchandising

● Organize and maintain packaging and retail asset libraries with version control, including

dieline archives by retailer and door type

● Troubleshoot production issues in real time — both packaging and retail file/print issues

— offering creative solutions under retailer deadlines

● Partner cross-functionally with creative, product development, retail, and operations

teams to bring packaging and retail environments to life in a cohesive and elevated way

Requirements

● 3–5 years of experience in packaging and/or retail production design, ideally within

beauty, skincare, or consumer products, with direct experience producing files for retail

partners.

● Proven ability to manage packaging and retail production projects from concept to

execution, including navigating retailer-specific file requirements and approval processes

● Knowledge of print production, materials, dielines, and finishing techniques across both

packaging substrates and retail display materials

● Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

● Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with overlapping packaging

and retail production timelines

● Strong project management and organizational skills with an eye for detail

● Ability to problem-solve in real time, adapting to supplier and retailer feedback without

compromising brand integrity

● Deep appreciation for design, functionality, and how great packaging and retail presence

enhance the customer experience
