We launched on March 26, 2025, and sold out in under 24 hours. Now, we’re on a mission to take this brand to the next level.

About this role

We are building the next big legacy brand in beauty and are hiring for a pivotal role that is

crucial in helping shape what’s cool and distinctive about the pov beauty brand.

We are looking for a Design Lead. Are you obsessed with art, always thinking outside the box,

building mood boards, and hunting for inspiration out in the world for what’s cool and innovative?

You may just be the person we’re looking for. We need someone who can own the design look

of the brand and help steer our design team through a growth spurt. Part leader, part maker.

You'll set the visual bar (and defend it), run point on our biggest marketing moments, and

manage a small team of designers — all while staying hands-on enough to jump in when it

counts. And that’s just the beginning. You’re joining the team at an exciting time with a ton of

growth potential and will be able to see your work create real impact in real time.

This isn't a seat where you just direct from the sidelines. We're small, we move fast, and

everyone — this role included — gets in the mix.

You'll report to the VP, Creative Director, and act as the person who takes brand vision and

actually makes it real — across packaging, retail, and every marketing channel in between.

What You'll Own

Brand & Visual Identity (Evergreen)

  • Own the visual direction of packaging and retail merchandising (gondola, FOS, end cap, and the rest) — keep it sharp, keep it consistent
  • Guard and grow the brand's visual identity alongside the Creative Director
  • Keep the brand feeling cool, current, and alive — not just "on-brand." This isn't a style guide exercise. POV should have energy you could recognize with the name covered up

Campaign Leadership

  • Concept launch and evergreen campaigns with the Creative Director, then take them all the way through execution
  • Personally lead design on our biggest "drive time" moments — the campaigns and cultural beats that matter most — working shoulder to shoulder with a copy lead
  • Take campaigns from first sketch to final asset, across every channel
  • Partner with the Creative Director on shoots and art direction when needed

Team Leadership

  • Manage contract designers — hand them ownership of lower-profile drive time moments, and give them the direction, feedback, and QC to nail it
  • Be the first call when something's off track — including stepping in yourself when

someone's out, behind, or a moment needs a senior hand

  • Help build and mentor the team as it grows

Hands-On Execution

  • You're not just directing traffic. Expect to personally execute on big campaigns, jump into production when the team needs backup, and build — not just oversee. We’re a small team so we need all hands on deck.

What Success Looks Like

  • The brand's visual identity stays sharp and consistent across packaging, retail, and evergreen — without the CD needing to check every piece
  • Big drivetime campaigns land on time, at a high bar, with minimal fire drills
  • The design team is turning out strong, on-brand work with growing independence
  • You're a trusted creative partner to the Creative Director — someone who takes direction and makes it better
  • You've built a real review and feedback structure with the Creative Director— clear checkpoints, ownership, and escalation — so work isn't stuck waiting on the CD for every round, while still keeping them looped in early on the big stuff

Requirements

  • 7+ years in design, with real experience owning visual direction for a brand — not just executing someone else's
  • Experience leading or managing designers, formally or informally
  • You thrive in small, fast-moving teams — you want to lead *and* stay hands-on, not sit in a purely strategic seat
  • Sharp independent judgment — you can take a brief and run, without needing your hand held
  • Packaging and retail/visual merchandising experience is a big plus
  • Beauty, CPG, or DTC background preferred
  • Portfolio required — show us brand/identity work and campaign execution

Benefits

  • Creative Excursions — Once a year, the team steps away together — Copenhagen, Santa Fe, wherever inspires — to refill the tank after a season of shipping big work.
  • 20 Days of PTO + 9 Holidays + 5 sick days
  • 100% of Medical, Dental & Vision paid for Employees
  • Generous Parental Leave
  • Discounts on point of view beauty products
