We are looking for a Sr. Director, Data Analytics to be a founding leadership member of our Data, Insights, and Loyalty team. In this senior role, you will partner with stakeholders across the company to design and deliver analytics that drive the business and better serve our customers across a wide variety of retail domains, including customer, retail product, inventory, and logistics analytics. You will also support emerging strategic initiatives such as growth/expansion, new business initiatives/channels, and novel applications of data / analytics / AI in existing business processes. Key deliverables for this role include data products (such as dashboards, models), analytics roadmaps / change management efforts, and analytics team member management and development.

Primary Responsibilities
- Own delivery of end-to-end analytic solutions (with support from the rest of the team) for a key functional area for the business, such as our product engine (e.g. planning/merchandising/production), customer focus (e.g. marketing, customer lifecycle/loyalty) or operations
- Consult with leaders across the business to develop analytic roadmaps with particular emphasis on insights that accelerate growth across all aspects of the business
- Lead a team of Data Analysts who support various functional areas of the business, including mentorship and skills development
- Perform analyses that enable a wide range of stakeholders deepen their quantitative understanding of their business, with a particular emphasis on insights that accelerate growth and unlock scale
- Develop dashboards, reporting, and other data products (such as simulation tools) that empower self-service, data-driven decision making
- Work with our technology partners and data engineers to ensure high-quality, usable data are captured to support reliable business-facing analytics
- Build scalable methodology and tools to accelerate development of our data and analytics practice
- Lead initiatives to build data and analytics competencies across the entire organization with the support of the data, insights, and loyalty team
- 8-10 years of experience in a data analytics or data science role, preferably working in a direct-to-consumer business
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute repeatable analyses and recommend actionable strategy
- Ability to translate business strategies into multiple, interrelated projects and lead cross-organizational, cross-functional projects
- Excellent communicator who easily bridges the gap between data and business owners
- Creative thinker, adept at understanding an wide breath of retail analytics use cases and identifying the data and analytics necessary to make them into a reality
- Builds and leverages networks across the organization to effectively lead change management initiatives
- Excellent SQL skills with experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
- Experience creating executive-level dashboards using visualization tools like Looker (highly desired), Tableau, or PowerBI
- Prior experience in people and team management of 2-5 years highly desirable
- Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment
- BA/BS in Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, or other quantitative field highly desirable
