We are looking for a Data Engineer to be a founding member of our Data and Analytics team. In this role you will be responsible for building the foundational data analytics, reporting, and data pipelines platforms that power data-driven decision making across the entire company. This role is also critical in building data products and dashboards to empower data-driven decision making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain data and analytics systems, leveraging tools like Looker, to generate actionable insights that inform business decisions.
- Build and integrate complex data sets that meet customer and business needs, driving data-informed decision-making company-wide.
- Develop and implement process enhancements and innovative solutions to improve data infrastructure scalability, efficiency, and automation.
- Design and optimize data pipelines for seamless extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
- Create analytics tools and platforms that enable team members to build, optimize, and share reports and dashboards, fostering collaboration and improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3-5 years experience in a data engineering role, preferably working in a direct-to-consumer business
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases and statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience building and optimizing cloud based big data pipelines, architectures and data sets leveraging a combination of SaaS and custom build solutions
- Successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Direct experience supporting data visualization tools like Looker (highly desired), Tableau, or PowerBI
- Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly changing startup environment
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or other quantitative fields highly desirable

Compensation: $125,000 - $143,000 / year
