Position Summary
The Events & Education Executive is responsible for driving artistry excellence, education impact, and event execution across assigned regions and retail partners. This role plays a key part in elevating Westman Atelier’s in-store experience, team capability, and consumer engagement by blending strategic planning with hands-on execution. Reporting to the Sr. Global Manager, Education and Events, the Events & Education Executive will partner closely with Sales & Education Executives (SEE’s), and Retail partners to execute regional training, elevate service standards, and lead exceptional event activations that drive business results
Responsibilities:
Education/Artistry
- Partner with Sales & Education Executives (SEE’s) to lead quarterly event and education strategies that elevate artistry, drive sales, and strengthen regional performance.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on artistry coaching and services training that reinforce brand standards and service excellence.
- Support new hire onboarding, to ensure consistent product knowledge and artistry technique across all retail partners.
- Demonstrate expert-level makeup artistry skills with the ability to educate, inspire, and develop confidence in others.
- Build strong relationships with store leadership and management to align on business objectives and maximize in-store impact.
- Plan and execute impactful store events that reflect Westman Atelier’s artistry philosophy and brand aesthetic.
Events
- Facilitate and support brand and retailer events and trainings across in-store, and virtual environments.
- Partner with Sales & Education Executives (SEE’s) on quarterly event strategy, planning, and execution across all retail partners.
- Lead event logistics from concept through completion, including scheduling, setup, on-site execution, recaps, and post-event action plans.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences through artistry demonstrations, makeup applications, and personalized product recommendations.
- Coach and develop retail teams through hands-on education, team selling, and in-the-moment feedback.
- Monitor and report on in-store activity, capturing event photos, competitor insights, and innovative ideas to inform future strategies and inspire continuous improvement.
Retail/in-store experience
- Lead and execute regional training initiatives, including cluster trainings, round robins, and ongoing retail education support.
- Partner with Sales & Education Executives (SEE’s) and retail partners to drive seasonal planning, event strategy, and in-store execution.
- Cultivate relationships with Beauty Stylists, Personal Stylists, and store leadership to strengthen client engagement and elevate brand advocacy.
- Deliver key retail events and Featured Artist activations, driving artistry impact and sales performance.
- Coach resident artists and zone staff, leveraging reporting insights and the continued evolution of the Westman 101 program.
- Serve as the department store clienteling liaison, managing CRC partnerships, reporting, and client outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sephora RPBEMs on regional event strategies, client engagement experiences, sales and education visits, and new store openings, while maintaining expertise in the Sephora Education Portal and H@SM systems.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in makeup artistry with the ability to translate artistry skills into education and sales impact.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in makeup artistry or retail education. Experience with Sephora and/or Nordstrom a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about clean beauty and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively at all levels of management.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and self-motivated with a positive outlook.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and travel regionally for events, trainings, and store visits.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
